Katharine Macy
Head delegate - Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technology Delegate
Katharine works as an Inclusion and Wellbeing advisor in a law firm, having previously obtained a PhD in archaeology, focused on autism in the Stone Age. They grew up as a carer for their mother and have developed a spine injury, both of which encouraged them to get involved in politics through the Liberal Democrats. Having run in both 2019 and 2024, they also wrote the Young Carers policy and autism support policy. They hope to use their expertise to speak for underrepresented groups at the Y7 and ensure people from all backgrounds are considered.
Energy and Environment Delegate
Louis is a final year undergraduate student of BA International History and Politics at the University of Leeds. He works part-time in the sustainable built environment. In November, he had a policy paper published with the Think-Tank, New Diplomacy Project. He is looking to pursue a career in diplomacy, specifically climate policy.

Shakana Sheppard
Peace and Security Delegate
Shakana is a corporate affairs professional with a diverse background spanning British party politics, financial public affairs, sustainability and management consultancy. During her Politics and International Relations undergrad, she founded a charity in collaboration with a Member of Parliament to support students in their professional and personal development. This led to her involvement in foreign affairs initiatives, including a policy consultation on social cohesion in collaboration with the Deputy Chief Mission of the US Embassy. Shakana currently serves as the UK's Y7 Peace and Security delegate, representing and advocating for critical security issues impacting UK youth.
Economy and Supply Chain Resilience Delegate
Joshua is an analyst at J.P. Morgan and served as the Deputy Lead Governor at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. He graduated from the University of Exeter, where he led the Business and Finance Society and worked as Consulting Director at 180DC. Joshua is passionate about representing young people and looks forward to bringing his experience to represent the UK as the Y7 Economic and Supply Chain Delegate.
